This is a technique of using creating a 2D image that can be used by a 3D router. Its difficult and time consuming. So much so it was divided between the other two graphic designers along with myself.
This item was meant to tease the Watchtower and Sentry. There were a lot of pages and a lot of variations. They took inspiration from Marvels own internal business quarterly powerpoints to shareholders but with a corny/humorous take.
For Alexei's apartment, they wanted it filled with Red Guardian propaganda from his height of popularity in Russian in the 1980s. The air freshner, posters and vodka label are based on actual USSR propaganda from the era.
The photo set up the original after credit scene, I had to age it and do comp in young Yolena and remove the beard from Alexei's face.
